PARALLEL INTERSECTION

We turn off the lights to wake up the day, We look in our hearts n’ find nothing but hate.
We ask for directions but we go our own way, And we ask for the time but we’ll still be late.

We close doors to shed the light, Then we open our eyes but we loose sight.

We practice pretence side by side, And we fear the fiend but we still fight.

We look for the facts but we still pretend, And before we begin we look for the end.

We climb the latter just to descend, And we pull the guns with not to defend.

We look within and find without, We have our faith but still doubt.

We break the law befriending clout, And we know you can hear us but we still shout.

We are unaware that we’ve been used, And we have no choice but the freedom to choose.

We start the fight knowing we’ll loose, Cause we will die to make the news.

We hate dispute but we started the war, We know what’s right but not what for.

We see past delusion n’ look for the lore, And we give to the rich what we take from the poor.

We all try to follow what no-one will lead, And we care too little of all those in need.

We punish the needy to give to the greed, And we reap the evil cause we sew the seed.

We find content in all your disclosure, And we find displeasure in all your composure.

We see that the under is within your over, While we add to what’s on your shoulder.

We will find good n’ we’ll make it bad, We will find happiness n’ we’ll make it sad.

We find what you have n’ we make it you had, And we credit our mom but never our dad.

We cover up weakness so no-one will know, And we show our strength to those who will follow.

We will let go of that which we hold, And we’ll hide the heat so we can be cold.

We wake up the dead to we kill all the slaves, We open our mouths with nothing to say.

We don’t see the sun when the sky isn’t grey, And we forget all about what we put away.

We are on our way up just to fall down, We catch our tears but they still hit the ground.

We frightened the kids by killing the clown, And we will destroy all that of around.

We don’t see the freedom to make a new label, But we go to church to believe in a fable.

We try to see through even though we’re unable, We look at the last supper not under the table.

We look for the right just to be wrong, And although we’re right we still hear the gong.

We have the will but we don’t sing along, And we will go no-where we don’t belong.

We laugh when we’re hurt but not when we’re not, We’re told to take little but we took a-lot.

We are unhappily unsatisfied with what we have got, And we will forget all that we’ve been taught.

We unknowingly create our own demise, And we tell the truth but we trust the lies.

We unwillingly hide behind disguise, And we try to hide but make public surprise.

We find what is seen n’ keep it a secret, And when we get caught we say we didn’t mean it.

We hear the obtuse say they believe it, And those in denial say that they seen it.

We treat what is new just like it’s old, And we say what is free has already been sold.

We fear what is secret has already been told, And when we are down we say fuck it n’ fold.

We forget all about what has been said, We fall asleep but we don’t go to bed.

We see all the everything go to our head, but we don’t take the blame cause we expect your commend.

We hide the hunger for all that we lust, And we run away from all those we trust.

We pull the record n’ blow off the dust, We place the arm n’ we turn it up.

We always do what we are told not to, And we will deny it like it’s not true.

We take no blame like we have no clue, And we feel no shame when we feel blue.
